ABOUT ME

Hiya, I'm Ruth and I live in Sheffield with my husband, Darren, his two teenage daughters and our two Dachshunds, Alfie & Nellie.

I have always been into sports and fitness. I used to do pretty well in the school cross country and danced and rode horses in my teens. 

​

When I was a bit older I used to love going to my local outdoor bootcamp classes, and loved HIIT or Body Pump classes in the gym and don't get me wrong, my fitness was great but it wasn't until I discovered resistance training that I noticed my body shape really begin to change.

​

I probably averaged about two resitance training sessions a week for the first year but one day I noticed that I actually had biceps and shoulder muscles. I was finally getting visible, defined muscles! Surprised with the progress I had made with just two sessions a week, I was curious about how much progress I could make with three and then four sessions a week. I also dropped a bit of body fat (about 8.6kgs) by going into a small calorie deficit, increasing my protein intake and increasing my daily activity. It all sounds so simple and it is simple, but it certainly isn't easy.

With the help of a coach for accountability, support and encouragement, I put small changes in place to improve my whole life for the better. I finally put those fad diets behind me and found a flexible and sustainable way to maintain my health and fitness goals for life.

​

I now want to support others to achieve their own health and fitness goals. So, if you're looking to lose fat, build muscle (tone up) or just want to get a bit fitter then I might just be the coach for you.

I have a family myself and have worked in the corporate world for most of my adult life so I understand that health and fitness can't always be your number one priority, but together we will work out what you CAN do on a daily basis to make steps towards your goals.
